Henry V AginCourt Extravaganza at Hay Castle

On Saturday 12th September 2015 the magic of theatre gave Hay a real extravaganza day with hundreds of people joining us for " Once more unto the breach dear friends, once more" on a journey across the water to France and the fields of Agincourt in 1415. The year being the 600 year anniversary of that famous battle between the French and the English, Hay History Group invited Hay Theatre Company to join them at Hay Castle on Hay History Weekend. We volunteered to not only perform a shortened adapted humerous version of Shakespeare's great play Henry V, with the talented Hay Adult Theatre Studies Group and members of Hay Senior Youth Theatre but Janine also ran the usual Saturday Junior Youth and Senior Youth Theatre classes at Hay Castle that day, with a swordfighting masterclass, ready for a procession led by 2 knights in shining armour supplied by the Cavalry of Heroes, Clyro. Then in an epic poem (humourous version) she led them all into battle with unsuspecting audience members collected on the way!  It was an event that will live in people's memories for a long time.
